This was intended to be a Christmas present for my little niece, Jane. Of course, I underestimated the amount of time finishing would take, what with the trim and multiple washes and blockings.
Luckily, little Jane is too young to have missed opening it on Christmas day. I might still call it provisionally finished, since I’m not very happy with the button and still on the fence about the sweet embroidery the pattern calls for.
This is the second pattern I’ve knit from this book (the first being Margot – that crazily embellished pullover) and, like most Rowan patterns, they’re well designed and written. The yarn was lovely in my hands, but I noticed a few pills in the yarn, even in the skein. I hope it gets lots of use and holds up well!
